YUM YUM YUM! Everything I ordered tasted fantastic and excellent customer service! This spot is perfect for a date night. We got the asado asparagus for two (meat, salad, and potatoes), cheese empanada, dungeness crab bruschetta, and spinach & ricotta gnudi. The portion sizes are pretty generous. They also give out complimentary cauliflower soup. My first bite made me go mmmmm mmm mmmmh. It was so creamy and warm. AThis place is definitely a WOW AMAZING would come back type of restaurant.

Definitely an amazing steak house with an Argentinian touch! All the food was really good and the service was on point for our group of 5. I'd recommend doing family style with the food as they can cut the steak into pieces so everyone can try a different cut. Worth it!

Had a great dinner at Ox. We arrived before our 5pm reservation. A woman came outside and asked if she could help us. When we told her we had a 5pm reservation, she let us know they weren't open yet, but that there was a bar on the property that we could go to for drinks. Check-in was easy and we were seated immediately. We were seated by a big window facing MLK. If I go back again, I would ask not to sit near the window as there was a "show" going on on MLK that I did not want to see. The food was delicious! We ordered the Tripe & Octopus and the Beef Tongue to start. The Beef Tongue was a little salty in my opinion, but the dish was good overall. The Tripe & Octopus dish was hearty and delicious. The tripe was melt in your mouth good and the octopus was cooked to perfection. We also had the Beet Salad and Sautéed Garlic Prawns, both delicious. The dressing on the beet salad was one of my favorites. The prawns were cooked well and I would consider it a comfort dish. We also ordered the Beef Skirt Steak and Albacore Tuna. It was served with the house Chimichurri sauce on the side. I loved the Albacore Tuba as a light option to go with the heavier dishes we had. My dining partner enjoyed the steak without the chimichurri. I loved the chimichurri on the tuna. The service was good. Staff were attentive but talked too much in my opinion. It was initially not crowded when we arrived and the dining area slowly filled while we were there. Space was tight and I didn't care for the small space. I would definitely go back. If you haven't tried it, check it out. I regret not ordering the clam chowder. I saw it come out to a few tables and it looked delicious.

My friend set up this prix fixe menu here at the Ox because there were 16 guys having dinner. The restaurant is a beautiful restaurant but because we were such a large party we had our meal in a private dining area which has its own bar and restroom. We had our own bartender and server serving us. This restaurant is well known for its Argentinian cuisine especially the beef dishes. We had about 13 courses including dessert which admittedly was quite overwhelming. The evening started off with a shot of tequila followed by a glass of Argentinian Melbac wine. Most of the dishes were very good but the item that I enjoyed the most was the grilled beef ribeye. It was tasty without being too salty and it was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. I think the next time I visit this restaurant I would like to try their dishes off the menu instead.

What can be said that the picture doesn't show. It was a lovely evening had by chance, they managed to seat us with no reservations. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was cozy, the big grill was impressive and the operation of it is so interesting.

We had a 9:30pm reservation on a Thursday night and it was not too loud, nor crowded. The staff were super friendly and attentive, including the person on the phone who helped me change my reservation. The lighting is very romantic but a bit dim to read the small font (I'm getting to that age) but we had no trouble figuring it out with the help of our server. We had one of the best steaks I've ever had. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and it MELTED. I'll be dreaming about that ribeye for awhile. Also had the beef tongue starter that was delicious. But if you order the crab on bread dish, this will get muted in flavor bc the tongue is so flavorful. The sides were great, dessert was yummy. It was such a great dining experience. We had no problem finding parking.

Sure not in an ideal tourist location, parking is tight, but those are the only non real complaints. Service by the waitstaff is always felt like personal attention, they know their menu very wll and professionally friendly without the upity attitude you get from other $$$ restaurants. Vibe ~ cozy decor & layout, lively energy throughout dinner. No pics needed, the food has always been so satisfying, just dine here for a date nite or group of friends. Top 10 all time fav that we repeatedly enjoy throughout the years.

This place excelled from start to finish. Service was Stellar. I mean I don't know if I have ever been so satisfied and blown away by every small thing. Everything was FLAVORFUL. The servers deserve more. They are attentive. My server personally was lit. 10/10 would come back The inside had the perfect date night vibe. Guys on the steak... are PROS. I watched them for the last 45 mins... killing it up there. This place is a well thought of, well managed , well run restaurant . Very very pleased.

Ox is such a treat! I have been wanting to try this place since my brother moved to Portland over ten years ago and our dinner experience was incredible. I kick myself for not remembering our servers name, but he was truly phenomenal and contributed greatly to our time there. The food is outstanding! My clam chowder was the best I have ever had and every single item we ordered was perfection. The flavors, quality and ingredients were intentional and no detail was spared. I can't wait to come back!
